I have been penning this note and editing this many many times now. Rewriting sometimes and editing the others. No matter how long i take to write or how many times i edit this, i am sure this is going to be far from perfect.Since most of the family has seen their 80th birthday in their lifetime, i am taking for granted that i get to see mine too. Under that assumption i have crossed my half innings and more.

Call this an evaluation or a thanks note ? I don’t know. But the very thought of penning something like this was very interesting. Took me down my memory lane.

In the balance sheet of life the negative side has the following :

  • A bad marriage
  • Relatives who bad mouthed
  • Loved ones who back stabbed
  • Trusted pals who cheated

But, i am yet to see someone who has not faced the above list in their lifetime. So just decided to have a look at the other side of my balance sheet. The list follows :

  • Nature like parents
  • Guardians who thought for me
  • Son like my mirror image
  • Kids like the stars to look forward to
  • Friends who understand my silence
  • God sent angels all the time
  • A partner to hold hand and nag for the second half of my life

Material

  • Certificates to fill an A4 sheet
  • A Phd in Dance
  • Dance productions to my liking
  • A national award
  • An author
  • A state assignment

And yes the pride that the boat was kept afloat and rowed till date in style
