Dancing has been my medium of communication. And Mohiniyattom is my mother tongue, my first love. The medium tempo and the poetic expressions that form allows has always insighted me. the hyper human in me learned to harness and mellow down with this form. People have always told me that I was someone who was blunt and sharp in my opinions. Mohiniyattom taught me to discipline my thoughts, re-word the same for better dialogue.

The cream colour costume lightly decorated by the golden border, the golden ornaments, the original jasmine flowers (used to be once upon a time only original flowers were used. These were all little little things that gave me a high.

Somethings that a stage performance taught me:

  1. being on stage is a do or die – its a one chance to impress the people in front of you without a 2nd chance.
  2. no matter what, each person give the performer a piece of their life by sparing their time to watch the performance. Justice should be done
  3. the performer should enjoy the performance to create an impact
  4. practice is the only key to a good performance
  5. the story narration should be modulated
  6. the performer is in control and should lead
